Inspections

 

Did you know? It is part of your duty of care to make sure your equipment is safe for use. Current legislation now requires 2 inspections on height safety equipment-

  • Operator Pre use
  • Regular scheduled inspections.
Regular inspection of equipment is necessary to meet the current legislative requirements. SRE offer a Complete Package Deal including:
  1. Visual Inspection of Equipment
  2. Strip down & Service of Equipment (where requested/ required)
  3. Load testing (where required)
  4. Tagging of Equipment after Inspection
  5. History Recording of Equipment

SRE also provide a full Cleaning Service of your Equipment. This includes:

  • Inspection (detailed above)
  • Washing of all synthetic materials
  • Drying of all synthetic materials
  • A full Service & Clean of all Metal Components.

SRE don’t just stop at personal protective equipment. We can Service and Inspect Fixed Static Lines, Permanent Anchor points, Ladder Safety Systems, and Rigid Rail Systems.SRE log and tag all inspected items and provide a copy of the log record. SRE will inform you when your equipment is due for re-inspection. SRE can also keep track of your entire inventory of height safety equipment (Thus at re-inspection, if anything is missing you will be informed of this). Having equipped mobile units, our Service Technicians can visit your site. Did You Know…? 

It is a common misconception that ‘riggers’ are capable of performing inspections of height safety equipment (eg: harnesses). Both the Regulations and AS/NZS state that a ‘competent’ person must undertake these inspections. A person who has undertaken training, has qualifications or relevant experience may be deemed competent.
