Ladders & Static Lines
Soll Ladder Safety systems are available for a large range of vertical even angled ladders. Being a rigid rail they spread the load across the entire ladder and are AS1891 compliant. Contact SRE for more details, a full brochure or demonstration.
The ladder cages in fixed ladders have been shown not to stop a fall but simply funnel a fall and, in some cases, more injuries can occur from striking the protective back-guards on the way down and the cages may also hinder rescues. Therefore, fixed ladders with angles exceeding 75° to the horizontal should be fitted with a permanent or temporary fall-arrest system.

Xenon Static Line systems mean that a person does not have to disconnect to pass anchors or even around corners. The system is stainless steel and each situation is entered into the computer software program to ensure compliance. It is fully AS1891 compliant. Contact SRE for more details, a full brochure or demonstration.
There is an Australian Standard for Static Lines. AS/NZS 1891.2-2000 ‘Industrial Fall Arrest Systems and Devices – Horizontal Lifelines and Rails’ sets out the minimum requirements for all static lines. (includes anchor points, spans, clearance distance etc).
